Isela Castro

While being infatuated with politics of everyday life and looking for answers as to why his community is in the state it is, Alejandro strives to become an immigration lawyer and directly impact his community. He has a heart for writing and often uses it as a vehicle for articulating his experience in the world.

A recent graduate from Valley High School, Alejandro is an incoming freshman at University of California, Davis where he plans to double major in political science and English literature. During high school, he interned with Hernandez Strategy Group, where he contributed toward lobbying efforts on state bills aimed at helping and protecting youth as well as the general consumer. Alejandro previously served as a My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Sacramento Youth Fellow, where he conducted research on Boys and Men of Color for a collective policy brief and published it as a co-author.
